As a nutritional supplement, colostrum should be liposomal to attain maximal effectiveness. Only raw, fresh colostrum -- as what is provided from mother to newborn, or from mother cow to calf -- contains its own protective liposomal coating. These natural liposomes in raw colostrum are compromised during the flash pasteurization process, and are subsequently reapplied later in the manufacturing process. Liposomal delivery, in general, makes supplements more bioavailable and effective.
